Dear Colleagues, Parents and Friends of the Gifted and Talented,

We are excited to invite you to participate in the annual Talent Education VIII international virtual conference! We look forward to collaborating with you to create a very meaningful conference that includes narratives of experience, examples of practice and research.  Please join us by presenting a paper, lecture, workshop or as a listener.

October has evolved to be a month of celebration for the Gifted and Talented, and we are very proud of our keynote speakers who will bring energy and important information for this year’s theme:  

Teaching Strategies and Equitable Support Services for the Gifted and Talented

Strategies for Teaching and Learning Thematic areas:

• Personal development of the gifted and talented
• Twice exceptional gifted and talented
• Social and emotional needs of the gifted and talented
• Individualization and differentiation in regular classes
• Talented Youth weekend and summer enrichment programs
• Potentially gifted children in kindergarten
• Factors affecting the development of potentials, gifts, talents

Equitable Support Services Thematic Areas:

• Neuropsychology of giftedness, 2e or twice exceptional support
• Assessment and therapeutic services
• Educational support and learning accommodations
• Academic Coaching to facilitate learning and performance
• Social, economic, cultural and gifted intersectional support
• Parents of the gifted

We encourage anyone to attend this conference. The participants will include: teachers; university academics; psychologists; education policy makers and managers; gifted and talented program coordinators; school heads; graduate students; parents.
